The Art of Avalon: A Visual Journey Through Our Alpha Players’ Eyes
In the past two years, our journey to build Avalon has been nothing short of legendary. With the unveiling of Avalon Versions 1 through 4, we’ve been accompanied by over 500 veteran MMORPG adventurers, each one testing every corner of our world. From vibrant landscapes to intense battle mechanics, these brave testers shaped Avalon into the world it is today.
Our alpha testers did more than just test — they helped us fine-tune every detail, from the glint of a sword to the name of a fierce bear (yes, we let them name the bears — some choices were… let’s say, questionable ).
Players even crafted their own quests, adding to the rich lore of the land.
The most ambitious among them formed mighty guilds that seized the first villages and harbors of Avalon. Their input was instrumental in designing their homes and strongholds, making the game world a living, breathing extension of our and their imaginations.

Meanwhile, the peaceful farmers opted for a life of light, focusing on raising livestock and perfecting their food production. Who needs epic battles when you’ve got the best cheese in Avalon?
The Village of Carlslanding — Genesis Island
Players drawn to the darker side found their thrill exploring the dungeons and caves of Genesis Island, filled with nasty skeletons, lingering ghosts of the past, and of course, treasure chests brimming with shiny new gear and coins. Nothing says ‘dark adventure’ like looting while dodging a grumpy skeleton’s sword swing!

Many players have loved embarking on epic team journeys with their favorite adventure partners — because everything’s better when you’ve got a buddy watching your back (or carrying your loot)!

Some players even exploit companion bugs to build stables inside their homes, keeping horses right by their beds — talk about cozy sleeping arrangements!

Others prefer the darker path, summoning spirits of the dead or even burning entire villages — because why not add a little chaos?

The most dedicated test players didn’t just master flying dragons through sunshine or storms — they also turned them into fearless battle companions. Turns out, nothing says ‘ultimate teamwork’ like dodging arrows while riding a fire-breathing beast!

Even with simplified gameplay during the early alpha tests, the world of Avalon continued to grow, allowing players to venture into newly expanded lands, islands, caves, forests, and even tackle 6-player co-op raids. Hardcore players dedicated up to 3 months, exploring, enjoying quests, and leveling up their heroes — some champion players even surpassed level 300!
Our goal was to create fun experiences for both group gameplay lovers and solo explorers alike. We’re incredibly humbled by all the player support, and we can’t wait to see everyone conquer the upcoming Beta version in Unreal Engine 5.
